The frog

As for the symbols—the frog and the phrase De Profundis —there is no grand artistic pretense here. It is simply a stark, daily reminder to myself of what I ought to do, and what I must never repeat.

To me, the frog carries metaphors of sin, delusion, and human limitation:

• In Eastern Culture: Idioms like "a frog at the bottom of a well" (ếch ngồi đáy giếng) symbolize arrogance and ignorance masked as self-satisfaction. Meanwhile, phrases like "a scabby toad lusting after a swan's flesh" (cóc ghẻ đòi ăn thịt thiên nga) represent unbridled, misplaced desires. These are the exact depths of blindness I once found myself deeply mired in.
• In the Holy Bible: Frogs appear as one of the ten plagues of Egypt, serving as symbols of uncleanness, defilement, and the deceptive spirits in the Book of Revelation.

This logo is my mirror. In this frog, I see my past uncleanness and pride. It prompts me to cry out "out of the depths" (De Profundis) (Psalms 130:1)—seeking awakening and true repentance every single day.
